Independent software consultant · Remote, based in Connecticut

Software built to last.

Eternity Solutions is one developer who works directly with small businesses: turning the processes you still run on paper and spreadsheets into simple custom tools, connecting the systems you already own, modernizing software someone else built, and adding practical automation where it saves real hours. Fixed price, one person, start to finish.

Sound familiar?

The problems we get called about

Most of our clients have 5 to 150 employees, one person who owns "the systems," and a process that has outgrown the tools it runs on. If any of these is your week, we should talk.

Data gets typed in twice

Orders go into one system, invoices into another, inventory into a spreadsheet, and someone reconciles it all on Friday.

→ Integration

A process lives on paper or in one spreadsheet

Inspections on a clipboard, POs in a binder, a tracker that works until the person who built it is on vacation or the file hits 40 tabs.

→ Custom tool

You need an app that doesn't exist yet

A tool for your shop floor, your field techs, your front desk, or your customers that no off-the-shelf product quite does. Web, desktop, or phone, built around how your business actually works.

→ Custom app

Your SaaS does 80% of the job

The last 20% is a workaround, a manual export, or a full-time hire. Custom glue code is usually cheaper than either.

→ Integration

Old custom software nobody will touch

The developer moved on, there's no documentation, and every change feels like a risk to the business.

→ System modernization

Staff spend hours reading and re-typing documents

Invoices, purchase orders, and emails come in as PDFs and get keyed in by hand. Questions get answered from the same manual, over and over.

→ Integration + AI

What we do, and what it usually costs

Five things, each sized for one developer. Ranges are typical, not quotes; a short Discovery Sprint turns them into a fixed number for your project before anything is built.

Consulting & Planning

$95/hr · Sprint $750–$1,500

A technical person on your side of the table. Build-or-buy decisions, vendor and quote reviews, a plan for a system you want to replace. The two-to-three-day Discovery Sprint produces a process map, clickable mockups, a written spec, and a fixed-price estimate you own outright, even if you build elsewhere. Credited in full toward a build.

Custom Tools & Apps

$4,000–$15,000

The work we do most: replacing a process that lives on clipboards, binders, or a shared spreadsheet with a tool your team uses every day. Purchase orders and approvals, equipment inspections, maintenance records and work logs for the maintenance department, checklists, production logs, quoting, inventory, job tracking. Built for the web first, as a desktop or phone app when the job calls for it. Every entry timestamped, searchable, and reportable. Bigger projects are split into phases of this size.

Integrations & Automation

$1,500–$8,000

Connecting the systems you already own so nobody re-types data: QuickBooks, Shopify, Walmart and Amazon marketplaces, ERPs, CRMs, email. Built with monitoring and alerts, plus a runbook for when a vendor changes something. This is also where practical AI fits: reading invoices and POs into your system, answering staff questions from your own manuals, drafting routine replies for a person to approve. AI work starts with a short pilot on your real data and a before-and-after you can measure.

System Modernization

$1,000 audit, then phases

Custom software someone else built, that nobody wants to touch. We start with a two-day audit and a written report so you know what you have, then stabilize it and update or rewrite it in phases with no downtime. You keep running the business the whole time.

Hosting & Maintenance

$99–$400/month

Keeping what we built running. Hosting on infrastructure we control or on your own network, nightly off-site backups, uptime monitoring, security patches, and a tested restore. The Maintained tier adds two hours a month for small changes and a quarterly check-in. Response windows are written down and honest: next business day for changes, same evening for outages.

What we don't take on: projects that need a team or a design studio, hard deadlines one person can't hit, and 24/7 support. We'll say so on the first call and point you to someone who can.

Recent work

Three small businesses, three tools they use every day

Different industries, same shape of problem: a process spread across paper, spreadsheets, or three separate apps, replaced by one tool built around how the business actually works.

Steel service center · Connecticut

Purchase orders, inspections, and maintenance records, off paper

POs, daily machine and equipment inspections, maintenance logs, and the reports built from them all ran on paper. Records were hard to find and reporting meant retyping forms.

What we built
A suite of desktop and web apps on one shared backend: online purchase orders, daily equipment inspections, and a full set of maintenance records and reports so the maintenance department coordinates and logs work in one place.
What changed
Paper records are gone. Every entry is timestamped, searchable, and reportable, and the shop has a history it can audit and build on.

Online marketplace vendor · Walmart Marketplace

One iPhone app for sourcing, pricing, inventory, and orders

A collectibles vendor was pricing deals from a spreadsheet, checking Walmart in a browser, and managing stock, prices, and orders in Seller Center, often while standing in front of a deal.

What we built
A native iPhone app that scans a barcode, pulls the live Walmart buy-box price, and shows the target and maximum offer with fees and margin worked out. The same app lists their Marketplace inventory with live stock, edits prices with one-tap buy-box matching, acknowledges and ships orders, and adds new listings by scan.
What changed
Sourcing decisions in seconds instead of a spreadsheet and three browser tabs; stock and pricing kept current from a phone; a deal log that tracks real spend and profit.

Scan a cert, see every number that matters on one screen

Graded-card resellers were checking three or four separate services to price one card: current value, recent sales, and the population report, each in its own app or browser tab.

What we built
An app that scans or reads a grading-company cert number and pulls the card's identity, estimated value, sales velocity, individual recent sales, and the full population report from the leading industry sources into one view.
What changed
Pricing a graded card takes one scan instead of four lookups, at a show or at the desk.

How we work

You always know the price before work starts

Four steps, each one small enough to say no to. One project at a time, so yours gets full attention; most go from first call to a working first phase in six to eight weeks.

01

Call

Thirty minutes, free. You describe the process that hurts; we tell you whether custom software is the right answer and roughly what it would cost.

Why Eternity

One developer, no agency layer

Eternity Solutions is one person. You talk to the developer writing the code, which removes the account manager, the handoff, and the margin that pays for them. It also means we take on projects one at a time and say no to the ones that need a team.

One accountable person

Scoping, build, hosting, and support all run through the same developer. No one has to re-explain the project to a new face, and when it breaks you know exactly who to call.

Fixed prices, written down

Every phase has a price and acceptance criteria before it starts. Hourly work is the exception and is quoted as prepaid blocks.

You own the code

Source, repo, credentials, and documentation are yours on final payment. We build on mainstream, hireable stacks so you are never locked in.

Your data can stay in the building

We run our own servers and our own AI hardware. Apps and AI features can live on infrastructure we control, or inside your own network, with nightly backups and a tested restore. Most small shops can only resell someone else's cloud.

Remote first, local when it counts

Nearly everything happens over video, screen share, and email, which keeps costs down and turnaround fast. Based in Connecticut, but when a kickoff or a go-live really needs someone in the building, travel anywhere in the US is on the table when it fits the job.

We'll tell you if you don't need us

If an off-the-shelf tool or a no-code setup will do the job, we say so on the first call. Referrals come back to us when the real project shows up.

FAQ

Questions we hear on the first call

Is it really just one person?
Yes. Eternity Solutions is one developer, and that's deliberate: you get the same person from the first call through hosting and support. It also means we take one project at a time and turn down work that needs a team. If your project is bigger than one person, we'll say so on the first call and point you to someone who fits.
How much does a project cost?
Custom tools usually land between $4k and $15k, integrations between $1.5k and $8k, and consulting is $95 an hour. Bigger projects are split into phases of that size. The Discovery Sprint turns a range into a fixed number for your project.
How long does it take?
The Discovery Sprint takes two to three days. A first phase is typically two to six weeks. Most clients have working software in production within six to eight weeks of the first call. Because it's one developer, start dates depend on the queue; we'll give you an honest one.
Do I own the code?
Yes. Source code, repository, credentials, and documentation transfer to you on final payment. We keep a license to our own reusable tooling, nothing from your project.
What happens when something breaks?
Hosting & Maintenance clients get monitoring, nightly backups, and a written response window: outages worked the same evening, changes scheduled within the week. Everyone else gets a "what to do if it breaks" guide at handoff and can book hourly. We don't offer 24/7 or same-hour support, and we won't pretend to.
Where does it run?
Your choice. We host on monitored infrastructure with nightly off-site backups, or we deploy to your AWS, Azure, or GCP account. On-prem is possible for internal tools.
Will you work with our existing developer or IT provider?
Gladly. We often work alongside an in-house IT person or a managed service provider; they keep the network and accounts, we build the software.
Can you add AI to what we already have?
Usually, yes. Most AI work is plumbing: getting a model to read your documents or answer from your records, then wiring the result into the software you already use. We start with one task and a two-week pilot so you see real results before committing to a build. If the honest answer is that AI won't help with your problem, we'll say so.
Is our data safe with AI tools?
It depends on the model and the contract. For routine work we use business-tier cloud models that don't train on your data. For anything under NDA, HIPAA, or similar, we run private models on hardware we control, so nothing leaves your systems.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
Remotely, almost always. Discovery calls, demos, training, and support all happen over video and screen share, scheduled around your hours. For the rare step that benefits from being in the room, such as a shop-floor walkthrough or a go-live, on-site visits can be arranged anywhere the job calls for it. Based in Connecticut, but travel is on the table when it makes sense for the project.
